How to Place Pictures Under the Glass of a Coffee Table

How to Place Pictures Under the Glass of a Coffee Table

A glass coffee table with a removable top and a base gives you a palette for arranging pictures that suit the mood you want to create in your living room. Display photographs of people, children's drawings, a collection of vintage postcards or, if your coffee table has depth, intersperse vacation pictures with small objects you gathered on the trip. Placing pictures under a glass coffee table personalizes the furniture without altering it permanently. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Remove the glass table top. Place it somewhere where it will not be stepped on, preferably leaning against an out-of-the-way wall.

    2

Arrange pictures on the base of the coffee table in a design that appeals to you. Try an evenly spaced grid of 4-by-6-inch family photographs, a spiral of classic cars cut from old magazines or a sprinkling of flowers cut from vintage wallpaper samples. Do not adhere the pictures to the base of the coffee table unless you want to create a permanent display.

    3

Clean both sides of the coffee table top with glass cleaner and crumpled up newspaper to remove any fingerprints and allow you to show off your design.

    4

Replace the glass top on the coffee table.
