A glass coffee table with a removable top and a base gives you a palette for arranging pictures that suit the mood you want to create in your living room. Display photographs of people, children's drawings, a collection of vintage postcards or, if your coffee table has depth, intersperse vacation pictures with small objects you gathered on the trip. Placing pictures under a glass coffee table personalizes the furniture without altering it permanently. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Remove the glass table top. Place it somewhere where it will not be stepped on, preferably leaning against an out-of-the-way wall.
2Arrange pictures on the base of the coffee table in a design that appeals to you. Try an evenly spaced grid of 4-by-6-inch family photographs, a spiral of classic cars cut from old magazines or a sprinkling of flowers cut from vintage wallpaper samples. Do not adhere the pictures to the base of the coffee table unless you want to create a permanent display.
3Clean both sides of the coffee table top with glass cleaner and crumpled up newspaper to remove any fingerprints and allow you to show off your design.
4Replace the glass top on the coffee table.
