Wipe the cutting board with a cleaning rag soaked in hot water.
2Pour 1 tsp. of dish soap onto the butcher block.
3Saturate a cleaning rag with pure white vinegar.
4Scrub the cutting board with the vinegar-soaked rag. Work the dish soap over the entire board to degrease it. The vinegar will clean and disinfect the cutting board, killing any bacterial growth.
5Rinse the cleaning rag with hot water, wring out and wipe over the butcher block to remove the cleaning elements as well as any leftover residue.
