How to Make a Christmas Dining Table Centerpiece

If you would like an elegant Christmas centerpiece, then consider making one for your dining table. Poinsettias, which are considered Christmas flowers, add warmth and cheer to any room during the holiday season. You can use these flowers when you design and create your dining table centerpiece. This project also will make a great conversation piece. Christmas centerpieces do not have to be expensive. Make this decoration after a quick trip to your local craft store. Measure the depth and width of the decorative bowl. Cut out a piece of floral foam to put inside the bowl. The floral foam will need to be almost even with the top of the bowl. Secure it in place with a hot glue gun.

Cut the stems down on the poinsettias. They can be even with the bowl, or they can stick out 1 to 2 inches.

Arrange the poinsettias in the floral foam. Place them at various angles. Place the flowers close together, but they should not appear crowded.

Fill in any open spots with babys breath. Use enough poinsettias and filler flowers to cover the foam, which should not be visible after you finish arranging the flowers.

Place the decorative bowl on a mirror. The mirror should be slightly larger than the bowl.

Add candles to the mirror. Use candles that match your Christmas dcor. Green, red, white, gold and blue are good holiday colors.

Place the centerpiece in the middle of your table.
